In the guided tour of the Alcázar of the Christian Monarchs, you will enjoy a unique monument with an exceptional historical legacy.
With expert guides and historians, you will discover all the secrets of a building that was not only a royal palace and fortress, but over the years also became the seat of the Holy Inquisition and even a prison.
What will we see on the guided tour of the Alcázar of Córdoba?
We will visit the Tower of the Lions and the Keep, where you will enjoy one of the best views of the city; the wall walk, the famous Hall of Mosaics, the Moorish Courtyard, and the Royal Mudejar Baths… We will stroll through its famous gardens, full of pools where vegetation and water blend into a setting of great beauty and monumentality.
If you would like to add more content to your guided tour of the Alcázar, we recommend booking the “Cordoba in Depth” tour, in which you will also visit the Mudejar Chapel, the Jewish Quarter, the Synagogue, and, of course, the Mosque–Cathedral.

Frequently asked questions
At the end of the guided tour, the visitor may remain in the monument freely and take the opportunity to stroll through the gardens and the towers. If the visitor continues with the guide to visit the Jewish Quarter, then visiting the towers is not possible because the schedule must be respected. However, time is always allowed to visit the gardens.
In that case, the visitor must pay for their own ticket; the ticket previously paid through the guide is not valid because the monument follows strict schedules. For this reason, it is essential to arrive 10–15 minutes early.
Regarding wheelchairs, it is not feasible. The Alcázar is not currently adapted for a comfortable visit, as there are many stairs. If you have difficulty walking, the visit is possible but ultimately depends on your own judgment.
That doesn’t depend on us; it depends on how the monument is managed. Normally, there is no priority access, so having a guided tour does not mean skipping the line.
