What will we see on the tour of the Mosque of Córdoba?
On this guided tour, we will enjoy interesting sites such as the remains of the ancient Visigothic Basilica of San Vicente, which predates the construction of the first mosque. We will learn about each and every one of the extensions built by the various emirs and caliphs, the famous mihrab and the dome covering the maqsura, masterpieces of Umayyad Caliphate art.
Finally, we will take a tour of the various transformations that took place during the Christian period, which led to the creation of such unique spaces as the Royal Chapel, the Cathedral’s transept, the High Altar and the choir stalls.

Frequently asked questions
Mainly, men are not allowed to enter with their heads covered, but this is not a problem for women. In general, the temple asks us to avoid clothing that is not appropriate for a cathedral.
If a guided tour is booked, the company will take care of the tickets directly. If the customer has already purchased tickets in advance, they will simply have to pay the price of the guided tour.
You are not allowed to eat or drink inside the temple. However, you are allowed to bring water.
There are no restrictions regarding photos.
According to temple regulations, the group must remain with the guide. Depending on the circumstances, there may be occasions when free time is allowed to explore the monument on your own. However, in general, the guide must always accompany the group.
The visit to the tower is not included; it is a visit that you make on your own, paying the amount estimated by the Cathedral Chapter.
Due to regulations, the guide cannot give radios to customers inside the monument, so it is impossible to grant this request. We emphasise the importance of punctuality. The guide can allow a maximum of 5 minutes' grace, but then must start on time as the rest of the group is waiting to begin at the scheduled time.
No, there is no excessive walking involved. Furthermore, in case of need, the monument itself has wheelchairs available, which the guide will request at the appropriate time.
