The guided tour to Medina Azahara at night is a unique opportunity to get to know the Caliphate city, as it has never been known before. Its exquisite lighting only gives prominence to its historic walls.

Discover the best-preserved Caliphal city in the world, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, with the help of expert historians and archaeologists.

You have two options if you want to book a guided tour to Medina Azahara at night : a) book the tour with bus included, or b) going directly at the site, prior reservation, in your vehicle (free parking), you have to take the shuttle bus, go up and wait for our guide at the door.

In the bus option, you have to go, prior reservation also, at the bus stop in front of the Hotel Eurostars Palace. Once you have taken the bus you just have to relax and enjoy, our guide will take care of the rest.

The night tour to Medina Azahara does not include the Interpretation Center, as opposed to the visit that takes place in the morning.

If I drive directly to the site, do I have to take the shuttle bus?+

Yes, you must take the shuttle bus and we will assist you once you get off.

Can I enter the Interpretation Centre?+

No, the Interpretation Centre is closed at night.

In the booking (with bus), two meeting points appear — what should I do?+

Don’t worry, the site bus stops at both indicated points, so you can choose whichever is most convenient for you. Additionally, on the return trip, the bus will drop you off on the same avenue where these two meeting points are located.

Do I have to pay for the shuttle bus that takes you from the interpretation center to the site?+

No, if you came by bus from Córdoba, it is included in the price. If you have come by car, the shuttle bus is NOT included in the price of the guided tour.

If I’m bringing a stroller/wheelchair or have difficulty walking, is it advisable to visit the site?+

In those cases, it is not advisable, as there are many slopes and several stairways.

What kind of clothing should I wear for the visit?+

Comfortable footwear and, in case of heat, a cap or hat. Feel free to bring water to stay refreshed.

Excelente, las dos horas de la visita nocturna a Medina Azahara se nos hizo corto.

Cordoba al forno: wieder zwei sehr kompetente Guides und eine kurzweilige Führung durch juderia, Mezquita, jardines der reyes Christianos etc mit hohem Fachwissen.

Medina azahara: Eine sehr kompetente Guide (Almudena? ) hat nicht nur die einzelnen Abschnitte der Anlage sehr ausführlich erklärt und gezeigt sondern davor auch die geschichtliche Einordnung ausgeführt so dass man ein sehr gutes Verständnis der Bedeutung dieser ehemaligen Palast Stadt hat. Ihre große Sachkenntnis war bemerkenswert. Darüber hinaus war sie auch noch behilflich mit Informationen zu anderen Museen und Sehenswürdigkeiten in Córdoba, so war es mir, mit ihrer Hilfe, möglich den nur selten geöffneten "Salon Rico" zwei Tage später zu besichtigen was für mich, der ich mich sehr für die Geschichte von Al Andalus interessiere ein absolut tolles Erlebnis war .

Córdoba Guided tour 4 hours Auf English :
Der erste Teil zu vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt inklusive der Altstadt wurde von einem jungen Mann (Name?) geleitet dem man die Liebe zu Córdoba und der Geschichte anmerkte. Zu allen Gebäuden (Alcazar, Synagoge, uvm) hatte er viele Fakten und Geschichten. Selbst kleine Geschichten wie zum Beispiel der andalusischen Spezialität Salmorejo steuerte era bei. Wichtiger aber. Man erfuhr viel über Geschichte und Bedeutung der verschiedenen Anlagen.
Den zweiten Teil, die Besichtigung der Mezquita übernahm eine junge Frau (Namen sind nicht meine Stärke) die mit ihrer tollen Art geschichtliche Fakten, bauliche Entwicklungen, Hinweise auf Besonderheiten, so interessant vermittelt hat das es ein großes Erlebnis war dieses außergewöhnliche Weltkulturerbe zu erleben.
Zuletzt noch die Geschichte zu der schwarzen Säule, die man sich besser selbst bei einer Führung dort erzählen läßt!

Fuimos a la zona arqueológica de Medina a unos kilómetros de Córdoba, el bus que nos trasporto muy comodo y con a/c. Al llegar al sitio Elena fue nuestra guía, muy preparada y datos muy interesantes del lugar. Nosotros tomamos el tour nocturno que llega ahí a las 9:45 pm y aún así el calor estaba a 40° c así que lleven agua y prepárense para conocer una auténtica ciudad árabe.

Hemos estado 4 días en Córdoba y contratamos 3 excursiones con ellos
Hemos visitado los patios de Córdoba con Rafa, José la Mezquita y la judería y por último con Pilar Medina Zahara.
La verdad es que todos ellos se merecen un 10, se nota que saben de lo que hablan, tienen conocimientos de sobras.

The Azahara Medina trip was well-run, lead by a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. Fascinating history about the Muslim rulers of the time (1000 AD) who ruled most of Spain. Not to be missed.
