Frequently asked questions

Is there a dress code to follow?
This is important with regard to the Mosque-Cathedral, which is part of the route. Mainly, men are not allowed to enter with their heads covered, but this is not a problem for women. In general, the temple asks us to avoid clothing that is not appropriate for a cathedral.

If I arrive late at the meeting point, can I go inside and look for the guide?

No. In this case, the customer must pay for the entrance fee himself. The entrance fee paid in advance with the guide is not valid, as the monument follows a strict timetable. It is therefore essential to arrive 10-15 minutes in advance.
Is it possible to enter the monument with food?

No. It is not possible to eat or drink inside the temple. However, it is not a problem to bring water.
Can photos be taken?

There are no restrictions regarding photos.
Once the guide's explanation is over, can I stay in the temple?
According to temple regulations, the group must remain with the guide. Depending on the circumstances, it may sometimes be possible to leave some free time to explore the monument on your own. In general, however, the guide must always accompany the group.

Does the guided tour include a visit to the bell tower?

The visit to the tower is not included, it is a visit to be made on your own paying the amount estimated by the Cabildo of the Cathedral.

If I go with a guide, I don't have to queue, do I?

That doesn’t depend on us, it depends on the management of the monument. Normally there is no preference, so the fact of having a guided tour does not mean that there are no queues.
If I am in a wheelchair or have any physical difficulties, is it advisable to visit the monument?

The Mosque is not too far to walk. In addition, if necessary, the monument itself has wheelchairs available, which the guide will ask for in person at the time.

As for the Alcazar, wheelchairs are not feasible. The Alcazar is not currently adapted for a comfortable visit, there are many stairs. In case of difficulty in walking, it is possible to visit it, but it is at your discretion.
